Henderson Invites Public to Provide Feedback on Proposed Mohawk Drive and Pueblo Place Improvement Project

Post Date:01/24/2024 8:17 AM
HENDERSON, Nev. (Jan. 24, 2024) – The City of Henderson invites the public to provide feedback on a proposed improvement project at Mohawk Drive and Pueblo Place.
Residents have raised concerns about cars speeding in the area and using the road to cut through traffic. The City collected speed and volume data in the area and found that speeding is prevalent and that it meets the minimum thresholds to apply traffic-calming measures to improve safety and slow down traffic.

Residents can take the survey online and choose their preferred traffic-calming option from the following:

• Two cul-de-sacs at Mohawk Drive and Pueblo Place curve
• Dual diverters at Meyers Avenue and Shoshone Lane
• Dual diverters at Pima Lane and Mojave Lane
• Diverter and cul-de-sac at Apache Place
• Speed cushions

Based on resident feedback, the City will host a public meeting in February with more information.
