Kids 18 and under* are invited to come to Henderson City Hall during the 2024 elections and vote for your favorite ice cream flavor.

Kids Vote is back at Henderson City Hall during the Primary Election! Kids under 18 are invited to come to City Hall with a registered voter during the 2024 primary election and vote for your favorite ice cream flavor. 

Participants will receive a FREE SCOOP of ice cream courtesy of Purple Penguin Snowcone Shack and a special Henderson "I VOTED" sticker. 

Every kid's voice matters as they decide the winning flavor between:

  • Cookies and Cream
  • Vanilla
  • Chocolate
  • Bubble Gum

 The top two will advance to the General Election in November.

Early Voting at City Hall

May 25: 8am-5pm
May 28-June 1: 8am-5pm
June 3-June 7: 8am-5pm

Election Day
June 11: 7am-7pm

 *Kids must be accompanied by an adult 18+

 The Purple Penguin Snowcone Shack logo is of a large purple penguin with the words Purple Penguin Snowcone Shack. The penguin is purple, the words Purple Penguin are purple and Snowcone Shack are white with a red outline.

Presidential Preference Primary Results

A total of 117 young voters cast their ballot during the PPP for their favorite ice cream flavor. Cookies & Cream, Chocolate, Vanilla and Bubble Gum will be moving on to the Primary Election in June.

*A tie for fourth place between Bubble Gum and Mint Chocolate Chip was settled by coin toss. Bubble Gum called tails when Henderson City Clerk Louie Valdez flipped a quarter. The quarter landed tails up. Bubble Gum was declared the fourth-place winner and will advance to the Primary Election in June.
