About the Veterans Day Ceremony

The annual event pays tribute to our patriots and military heroes and includes a presentation of the names being added to the Henderson Memorial Wall, recognition of veterans’ organizations, presentation of colors and a special musical performance by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra.

This year's City of Henderson Veterans Day Ceremony took place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater, located at 200 S. Water Street.

Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall

The Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall was dedicated in November 1994, and local veterans are honored annually at Henderson’s Veterans Day Ceremony. Constructed as a community tribute to our hometown veterans, names are added to panels of the wall honoring Vietnam veterans, Persian Gulf War veterans, and Global War on Terror veterans who lived in Henderson at the time of their service, deceased war veterans who lived in Henderson prior to 1980, and veterans killed in action living in Henderson after 1980.
