In 2023, the City of Henderson earned the What Works Cities Gold certification by Bloomberg Philanthropies. Only 23 other cities in the world, including Henderson, have achieved this prestigious accolade.

The City has achieved this distinction through a culmination of strong leadership, a devoted team using data to inform decisions and drive outcomes, as well as hard work to put in place the people, practices, and policies that make your city one of the top well-managed, data-driven local governments across the Americas. 

Previously, the City of Henderson achieved a Silver level certification by What Works Cities for 2021.

What Works Cities Certification, the national standard of excellence in data-driven city governance, evaluates how well cities are managed by measuring the extent to which city leaders incorporate data and evidence in their decision-making.
