Henderson Fire Department provides complete emergency medical services (EMS) to the community, from first response to treatment and transport of the sick and injured to area hospitals.

Henderson Fire operates eleven transport-capable advanced life support ambulance rescue units staffed with Firefighter/Paramedics, serving the city 24 hours a day. All units are equipped with 12-lead EKG monitors, advanced airway interventions and advanced cardiac life support medication consistent with the latest American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

The department's eleven engine and two truck companies are also staffed with Firefighter/Paramedics to provide emergency medical services and are capable of providing advanced life support when responding to an incident.

The Henderson Fire Department is one of 24 fire departments in the nation to be accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) and has also been recognized by the AHA as a Gold Plus EMS agency.
