Mayor Michelle Romero has joined the Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger, a nonpartisan coalition of more than 300 other mayors across the country.  

The group comprised of mayors from all 50 states and the District of Columbia taps the individual and collective leadership of mayors to take meaningful action to end childhood hunger in cities nationwide.

“Hunger, especially for a child, can be devastating. Not having enough to eat lessens a child’s ability to learn, impacts behavioral problems and can even impede growth and development,” said Mayor Michelle Romero. “Through our school and community garden projects and other initiatives, our City staff and community leaders are committed to ending childhood hunger and food insecurity in Henderson.”
