As Mayor, I hear regularly from members of our community who value providing our students with a quality education and are proud of our Henderson schools.

Our residents have also said they want the City to take on a stronger role in education. The City listened to what we've heard and established the Community Education Advisory Board to bring parents, educators and community and business leaders together to improve student outcomes. The Henderson Premier Schools Partnership is a primary link between the community and the Advisory Board.

This collaboration is designed to increase local input and improve the educational experience in Henderson schools. We are excited to be working together to make a positive impact on our local students and schools.

Henderson Community Education Advisory Board (HCEAB)

The Henderson Community Education Advisory Board serves as a recommending body to the Henderson City Council in working with Henderson local school precincts to foster educational strategies that are in alignment with the overarching goals and policies of the City, reflect community input and aim to increase student achievement.

The HCEAB is facilitated by the Education Initiatives Officer in the City Manager’s Office. The board is comprised of 15 community members including business owners, community leaders, educators and parents.

The CEAB holds meetings four times a year which run approximately two hours. Access the meeting agendas and back-up for previous and upcoming meeting dates here.
