Henderson Shines!

Henderson Shines is an annual no-cost, community cleanup and recycling effort that gives residents the opportunity to dispose of household hazardous materials like paint, oil and batteries, and recycle and/or donate other household goods responsibly. Drive thru to drop off! See full details below.

This event is brought to you by the City of Henderson's Community Development and Services Department, various community partners, and other city departments to help promote neighborhood beautification, safe and sustainable disposal practices and sound environmental stewardship in one convenient location for Henderson residents.

Know Before You Go 

• Cars should take Galleria Drive and enter off of Patrick Lane. See map below.
• Please note the event will end promptly at 1pm or as long as capacity permits.  Plan to arrive early to ensure you are able to participate. 
• Medications: All medications must be emptied into a single plastic Ziploc bag prior to arrival. No over the counter medications, vitamins, inhalers, needles, or sharp containers will be accepted. 
• Household Goods: Items such as housewares, dishes, sporting goods, clothing, toys will be accepted by Goodwill. 
• E-Waste:  Items such as computers, laptops, VHS players and cell phones will be accepted. We are not able to accept televisions, tires, printers and fax machines.
• Paper Shredding: There will be no onsite shredding, drop off only. Limit four (4) boxes the approximate size of banker boxes.
• Paint, oil and batteries will be accepted.
