Records Section

The Records Section of the Henderson Police Department is comprised of civilian employees who act as the custodian of records for the department. The Records Section is responsible for processing public records requests for police reports as well as requests for Henderson arrest backgrounds.

Police Records services are available Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays) and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the following locations:

East Police Station, located at 223 Lead St.

A valid U.S. Government Issued photo identification is required for most transactions. 

We accept the following: 
Identification Card or Driver’s License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles
United States Passport
United States Military Identification
United States Visa issued by the U.S. Department of State
United States Issued Employment Authorization Card
Permanent Resident Card and Immigrant Visa

We are unable to accept: 
Driver Authorization Cards
Identification that reads “Not for Identification Purposes” 
Any form of identification issued by a country outside of the United States 

  


Incident Crime Reports

Public records requests are submitted to the Records Section here. Please call 702-267-4700 to confirm the report is available for dissemination prior to appearing in person. Juvenile criminal information is deemed confidential and cannot be released.

When requesting an incident crime report, please have the following information available:

  • Report number (for example: 15-12345)
  • Your name
  • Type of incident (traffic accident, burglary, etc.)
  • Involved person's name(s)
  • Date and time of incident
  • Address or location of incident

Traffic Accident Reports

Closed traffic accident reports are available online, free of charge, at crashdocs.org.

Accidents that are under investigation will not be available until the investigation is complete and the case is closed. 


Fingerprint Unit

Fingerprint and registration services will be provided for citizens wanting a nationwide background check through a standard FBI FD-258 Applicant fingerprint card(s), Business License Applicants, Child Care Applicants, City of Henderson Employee Badges, City of Henderson Vendor Badges, Convicted Felon Registration and Sex Offender Registration. 

The Fingerprint Unit is open Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays) and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the East Police Station, located at 223 Lead St.

Fingerprinting

  • Citizens do not need to bring a fingerprint card unless they have received a fingerprint card from their employer.
  • Fingerprints are $5 per fingerprint card
  • You must live or work in the City of Henderson
  • You may schedule an appointment at QLESS
  • The Henderson Police Department takes cash, credit, or debit cards as payments for fingerprinting services.

Fingerprint and Registration Services

Sex offenders new to Henderson must complete a State of Nevada Sex Offender Registration form within 3 business days of arrival. Those who must complete Sex Offender registration should print out and complete the required paperwork before arrival.

If you are unable to print the required paperwork, please arrive with enough time to complete the paperwork before your appointment.

Registrations take time and customers arriving after their appointment start time will be provided with a referral to return on a specific date.

Sex Offender Registration/Verification Services

Sex offenders residing in Henderson must complete a State of Nevada Sex Offender Registration form  and appear at the Henderson Police Department’s Fingerprint Unit within 48 hours of arrival . Sex offenders appearing on nonbusiness days will be provided a referral form to return during normal business hours. Sex offenders must update their registration information based upon Tier level requirements, or as information changes, by completing the State of Nevada Verification - Change of Information form. This form can only be submitted through a law enforcement agency.

Offenders must appear in person at the Henderson Police Department, at the Fingerprint Unit located at the East Police Station, 223 Lead St. 

The hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Offenders registering must check in with the Fingerprint Unit on or before 4:00 p.m.

Convicted Person Registration Services 

Convicted persons residing in Henderson must register and complete the Convicted Persons Questionnaire within 48 hours of arrival.

Offenders must appear in person at the Henderson Police Department, at the Fingerprint Unit located at the East Police Station, 223 Lead St.

The hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Offenders registering must check in with the Fingerprint Unit on or before 4:00 p.m.
