Henderson Trail Watch volunteers promote safety and appropriate trail use by providing information and assistance to all trail users. They observe and document safety issues requiring attention, serve as a positive presence on Henderson trails and assist the city's Parks and Recreation and Henderson Police departments to keep Henderson trails safe and well maintained.

Four Steps to Trail Watch

  1. Complete an application
  2. Attend training
  3. Hit the trail
  4. Report your observations

Henderson Trail Watch Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete the application and background check
  • Attend training
  • Carry a personal cell phone at all times while on the trail
  • Carry Trail Watch ID and wear a Trail Watch vest or armband
  • Log and report time on trail at least once per month

Training

Once your completed application has been processed, you will be contacted with training information. All Henderson Trail Watch volunteers are required to attend a one-hour training session, which provides you with all the tools and information you need to make your time on the trail successful.
