In May 2022, the City of Henderson earned the Pinnacle Award for Excellence from the Southwest Alliance for Excellence (SWAE). The City of Henderson is the first organization in the region to receive this prestigious accolade.

The Pinnacle Award for Excellence is presented to organizations with mature and fully deployed quality systems within their operations that demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement which sustained a significant record of performance. The program provides valuable feedback regarding where an organization is positioned on the quality continuum and acts as a catalyst to earning the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
