Monthly water and wastewater rates consist of a Flat Service Charge based on meter size and account classification, plus a Volume Consumption Charge based on a tiered rate structure.

All charges are calculated on a daily basis and may vary slightly from month to month depending on the number of days in the service period. Water meters are read Monday through Thursday. If a scheduled meter read date falls on a weekend or holiday, it is read on the next available work day. This causes the number of days of service in billing cycles to vary, but you will receive 12 monthly utility bills during the year. The service charges on your bill reflect the daily rate based on the number of days in your service period for that particular month.

Water Rates

The City of Henderson adopted a four-tier rate structure in 2003 to encourage water conservation. Customers who conserve water fall into the lower tiers and are rewarded by a lower water rate. The typical Henderson single-family residential customer served by a 3/4" meter consumes approximately 7,500 gallons of water per month, with volume consumption falling within the first two tiers.

Wastewater Rates

Monthly wastewater rates consist of a base + volume service charge for all residential customers.

Non-residential customers are charged a service charge, plus a volume charge based on metered water consumption.

The City of Henderson collects the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) regional charges listed below on behalf of the SNWA and transmits them directly to SNWA. Charges for water and sewer services provided by the City of Henderson are itemized separately on the bill.
