The City of Henderson offers the following utility discount programs to qualifying customers


Low-Income Discount:

This program assists customers who are enrolled in the State of Nevada Energy Assistance Program (EAP).

  • Waives the monthly basic water and sewer service charge for residents enrolled in the Nevada Energy Assistance Programs (EAP)
  • Primary account holder on the utility bill must be a resident of Henderson, NV
  • Program participants must re-qualify annually by submitting proof of EAP enrollment.
    • Qualification guidelines for EAP are determined by the State of Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services. Additional resources for the program and application are available at 2 Apply for Assistance (nv.gov)
  • Must apply at City of Henderson: Submit Request (comcate.com) and attach EAP award letter.


Delayed Billing

This program assists customers whose only source of income is received once a month.

  • Allows an additional week (7 days) to pay a bill without assessing a late fee
  • Primary account holder on the utility bill must receive their only source of income once a month
  • Must apply at City of Henderson: Submit Request (comcate.com) and attach proof of monthly payment (e.g. Social Security Benefit Letter, PERS Benefit Letter, pay stub that indicates monthly pay periods, or any other government agency letter showing monthly payments received)

 Disability Discount

This program assists customers who are permanently disabled.

  • Waives the monthly basic water and sewer service charge
  • Primary account holder on the utility bill must be permanently disabled
  • Primary residence must be in Henderson, Nevada
  • Must apply at City of Henderson: Submit Request (comcate.com) and attach proof of permanent disability (e.g. copy of your Social Security Disability Benefit Verification Letter, PERS Disability Letter, or any other government agency disability)
