Henderson Reminds Residents Of Liferide Ambulance Memberships

HENDERSON, Nev. (Jan. 23, 2024) – The Henderson Fire Department is reminding residents of its LifeRide membership program to help offset costly ambulance rides to the hospital.

Program members will have no out-of-pocket cost for emergency ambulance transportation for up to two medically necessary transports per year, per covered member, if covered by insurance at the time of the incident.

Membership plans include:
• Individual Plan – $59
Covers one member for up to two medically necessary transports per year.
• Family Plan – $99
Covers member plus up to five additional members who reside in the same residence as the primary covered member for up to two medically necessary transports per year, per covered member.
• Family Plus Plan – $99+
Additional family members above the “Family Plan” limit of five who reside in the same residence can be added for an additional $10 each, per year for up to two medically necessary transports per year, per covered member.

Members of the program who reside outside of Henderson may be eligible for emergency transportation from incidents that fall under Henderson's jurisdiction.

Nearly 400 residents have a membership, which also includes free registration in Henderson's Fire Department Lifesaver certification course covering emergency bleeding control and CPR.

All membership fees are reinvested into Henderson Fire Department programs, including the free First Six community lifesaver training classes.
