Henderson Police Investigating Pedestrian Fatality

Henderson, Nev. – (January 18th, 2024) On January 17th, 2024, at approximately 10:50 P.M., the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Sunset Road and Sunset Station in reference to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation revealed a black Dodge sedan was traveling eastbound on Sunset Road when a 34-year-old female, while walking outside of a crosswalk, entered the travel lane and was struck by the Dodge. The driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators. 

The pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Impairment and speed are not considered factors in this incident.

As this is still an active and open investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.

The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

The collision is being investigated as the fifth accident-related fatality for 2024.
