City Of Henderson to Celebrate Grand Opening of Citrine Sky Park on Feb. 7

WHAT: The City of Henderson invites residents to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its newest park, Citrine Sky on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Activities and refreshments will follow the ceremony.

Citrine Sky Park will be the City’s 72nd park, and located at Grand Cadence Drive and Warm Springs Road, is the second park in the Cadence community. 

The 3.6-acre Citrine Sky Park includes play structures with slides, swings, climbers and a trampoline, as well as two grass volleyball courts, picnic areas and barbeques and more than 65,000 square feet of recreational turf.

Citrine Sky Park was developed by LAGE Design for Cadence, and will be managed by the City as part of an innovative and fiscally responsible approach to provide additional amenities for its residents.

Opening new parks aligns with Henderson’s Healthy, Livable, Sustainable City strategic priority, as well as its stated goal of every resident living within a 10-minute walk of a park.

Mayor Michelle Romero, Councilmembers, City leadership, Parks and Recreation Director Shari Ferguson and representatives from Landwell will be present during the ceremony.
