Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department concluded its 8th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program.
During the enforcement initiative that ran from March 15th through March 29th, 2021, Henderson Police stopped a total of 415 motorists.
Of the 415 traffic stops, motorists were issued 326 speeding citations, 3 citations for distracted driving (such as cell phone use), 12 citations for registration and driver’s license violations, 1 citation for no insurance, as well as several other citations issued for other traffic related offenses. Additionally, 76 motorists were issued a warning, in lieu of a citation.
Henderson Police Department received $220,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2021 Joining Forces program.
