Henderson, Nev. – (December 21, 2023) During the 2023 holiday shopping season, the City of Henderson Police Department’s Investigative Services Division Property Unit conducted two (2) separate “blitz” operations to help combat retail thefts in some of Henderson’s larger shopping corridors.  

In a partnership between HPD Property Detectives, HPD Patrol Division, several local retail locations, and their Loss Prevention staff, these targeted operations began just days before Thanksgiving and will continue through the holiday shopping season. 

During these retail theft “blitz” operations, 40 arrests were made with more than $6,400 dollars in stolen property recovered and returned to the retailers. 

Included in these arrests were numerous repeat offenders, multiple offenders with active arrest warrants for other crimes, and offenders currently part of larger, ongoing Organized Retail Theft series.

These operations to combat retail theft in the City of Henderson are scheduled to continue throughout the holiday season and into the new year.
