HENDERSON, Nev. (Dec. 11, 2023) – The City of Henderson is opening registration for its recreational winter classes and sports leagues on Dec. 12! For more information and to register, visit HendersonHappenings.com. 

This winter, Henderson is expanding its adaptive recreation services with new classes geared toward individuals with disabilities including Non-Mounted Horse Therapy where participants can bathe, pet and feed horses, and Folk Dancing with quick to learn moves. Other activities include Mini Goat Therapy, Veterans Adaptive Pickleball, Wheelchair Basketball and more!

Additional classes and programs available for residents of all ages include Parent and Me classes to prepare young children for school, sign language classes, health and wellness classes, crafting classes, music and theater camps, and much more. 

Registration is open now for the Henderson adult basketball league which begins the week of Jan. 8. Registration for men's, women's and co-rec softball leagues, as well as youth baseball and softball, open Dec. 12.

To sign up for Henderson Happenings classes, register online or in person at any Henderson recreation center. Registration will remain open until programs and classes fill.
