Henderson, Nev. – On March 13, at approximately 7:17 P.M., Henderson Police and fire responded to North Boulder Highway and Sunset Road reference a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 37-year-old woman was crossing outside of the crosswalk against the signal and was struck by an unknown make, dark colored, SUV.

The driver initially stopped and pulled to the side, but then drove away from the scene without checking on the pedestrian.

The woman was transported to a local hospital for her injuries received.

Henderson Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver and the vehicle. There is no description of the driver and the only identifying evidence indicates a General Motors vehicle, possibly a GMC Envoy, with no unique markings. The vehicle should have front end damage with a possible broken front headlamp.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to call Officer M. Wilson at 702-267-5087. You may also call the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4911, 3-1-1, or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit Crime Stoppers website.
