Henderson Unveils New Open Data Portal

Platform Increases Public Access to City Data

Post Date:03/15/2021
Henderson, NV – The City of Henderson today announced the launch of its new Open Data Portal platform that provides residents, visitors and businesses with timely and accurate City-generated data that can be readily accessed online.

The new portal contains links to information on City finances, progress on Strategic Plan outcomes, and City and County demographics. Portal users also have access to the City’s GIS portal where data on public services like waste collection and landscape watering days can be viewed. In addition, the Open Data Portal has links to public records held in the City Clerk’s Office as well as up-to-date information on local pandemic efforts listed on Henderson’s COVID-19 dashboard.

“One of our top priorities in Henderson is ensuring the data we use to make decisions that impact our community is transparent,” said City Manager Richard Derrick. “The City’s new Open Data Portal provides another opportunity for residents and other users to learn more about the information City government produces and use it to answer the questions most important to them.”

The site is open to all users and no registration is required. To access the portal, visit the City’s website and click on the Open Data Portal icon.
