Henderson Police Investigated Traffic Collision Resulting in Delayed Fatality

Henderson, Nev. – (October 18th, 2023) On September 9th, 2023, at approximately 09:25 A.M., the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Anthem Parkway and Tony Curtis Lane in reference to a collision involving two vehicles.

Preliminary investigation revealed a blue Chevy was traveling northbound on Anthem Parkway. A blue Toyota was traveling eastbound through the intersection on Tony Curtis Lane on a steady green light. The blue Chevy failed to stop at the red light, continued into the intersection, and struck the blue Toyota.

The driver of the blue Chevy was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition.

On September 10th, 2023, Henderson Police Fatal Investigators were advised that the
driver succumbed to their injuries. The name of the driver will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

Speed nor impairment are considered to be factors in this incident.

The collision is being investigated as the ninth accident-related fatality for 2023.
