Post Date:10/17/2023 4:39 PM

Henderson Mayor and Council today appointed Ramona Esparza-Stoffregan to serve as Henderson’s non-voting representative on the Clark County School District Board of Trustees.

“I’m thrilled that the Council has confirmed my recommendation for Ramona Esparza-Stoffregan to serve as the City of Henderson appointed Trustee,” said Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero. “As a former teacher and school administrator, Ramona is a respected community leader, and she will be an excellent voice for the interests of our community. We are proud of our Henderson schools and will continue to seek ways to support our educators, students and families.”

Following the granted authority for municipalities to appoint a non-voting representative to the Clark County School District Board of Trustees, the City of Henderson followed the existing board appointment process and posted the application for the appointment on the city’s website. After a staff review of the applications for eligibility, six qualified candidates were interviewed.

Esparza-Stoffregan is a former teacher and former principal of Valley High School. She currently serves as president of the Leadership Institute of Nevada. She has a history of working in educational advocacy and leadership transformation processes.
