Henderson, Nev. – (September 9th, 2023) On September 8th, 2023, at approximately 10:50 P.M., the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of North Boulder Highway and East Warm Springs Road in reference to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation revealed a black 2011 Infinity was traveling northbound on North Boulder Highway approaching the intersection at East Warm Springs Road with a steady green light. The pedestrian, without the right of way, used the crosswalk to cross on westbound East Warm Springs Road. The Infinity could not perceive the pedestrian and struck the pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The 28-year-old male pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Trauma in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Speed nor impairment are considered to be factors in this incident.

As this is still an active and open investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.

The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

The collision is being investigated as the seventh accident-related fatality for 2023.
