WHAT:           

The City of Henderson will debut its latest City Hall art exhibit, Find Your Folklife, an innovative photo exhibit exploring cultural identity curated by the Nevada Arts Council Folklife Program on Thursday, March 30.
 
Find Your Folklife illustrates Nevada folk communities through various photographs representing different cultural identities. Each folklife photograph is paired with another photograph of the same person in “everyday” dress as they might appear at home, work, or enjoying recreational activities.
 
On Saturday, April 8, the City of Henderson will host a public art reception for attendees to meet the featured Nevadans and learn more about the exhibit.
 
The Nevada Arts Council is part of the Nevada Division of Tourism and Cultural Affairs. Its mission is to enrich the cultural life of the state through leadership that preserves, supports, strengthens, and makes excellence in the arts accessible to all Nevadans.
 
The City of Henderson displays artwork on the first and second floors in City Hall West. Artists are selected and invited to show up to 15 pieces.
