The City of Henderson is seeking an artist to commission a mural depicting the natural landscape of the Black Mountain range for the City’s Black Mountain Recreation Center.

The design must encapsulate the mountain’s rugged landscape, arid and wilderness terrain that to be displayed in the recreation center’s lobby above the gym entrance.  

The Black Mountain Recreation and Aquatic Complex, located near Horizon Drive and Greenway Road, is a community favorite that provides an array of classes, programs, special events and more to guests of all ages. 

The selected artist or artist teams for this project will be awarded up to $9,750. The deadline to submit designs is March 7.
