Henderson, Nev. – (December 27, 2022) The Henderson police officer involved in the December 25th, 2022, officer-involved shooting, occurring in the area of Tiger Lily Way and Viewmont Drive, has been identified as Officer Jordan Hijar.

Officer Hijar has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since December of 2020 and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

Officer Hijar has been placed on paid administrative leave. 

This is the fourth officer-involved shooting for 2022.
