Henderson, Nev. – (December 26, 2022) On December 25th, at approximately 08:20 a.m., the City of Henderson Police Department responded to the area of Tiger Lily Way and Viewmont Drive in attempt to locate two suspects who were reportedly in the area that matched the description of two suspects involved in auto burglaries earlier that morning.
The investigating officer self-initiated a call for service after being contacted by one of the victims of the burglaries, who advised that the suspects, later identified as 20-year-old Ozzie Seeman and a 15-year-old male juvenile, were still seen in the area; The investigating officer was advised that a Glock 19 handgun had been stolen out of the victim’s vehicle.
The investigating officer located both suspects, gave the suspects verbal commands that the suspects ignored, and a brief foot pursuit ensued.
During the foot pursuit, Ozzie produced a handgun resulting in the officer discharging his handgun and striking Ozzie. Officers began life saving measures until Ozzie was transported to an area hospital where he is in stable condition.
The second suspect continued to flee and was detained a short distance away and taken into custody without incident.
Ozzie is currently in custody at a local area hospital and charged with the following offenses:
-3 counts of Auto Burglary
-1 count of Conspiracy Burglary
-1 count of Grand Larceny of a Gun
-1 count of Possess Stolen Gun
-1 count of Resist w/Firearm.
The juvenile was transported to Clark County Juvenile Hall and is charged with the following offenses:
-3 counts of Auto Burglary
-1 count of Conspiracy Burglary
-1 count of Grand Larceny of a Gun
-1 count of Resist.

As this is an open investigation, no further details will be released at this time.
This is the fourth officer-involved shooting for 2022.
The involved Henderson Police Officer has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, and the name will be released after 48 hours, per department policy.
