WHAT: To honor the valor and sacrifices of U.S. Military Veterans, the City of Henderson will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. inside the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater.
Veterans, family members and city leaders will pay tribute to military service members with the placing of a memorial wreath and presentation of 29 new names on the Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall. The Henderson Symphony Orchestra will perform a special musical tribute to the armed services.
The ceremony will also include a presentation of colors by the Basic Academy Marine Corps JROTC Color Guard, recognition of veteran organizations and the National Anthem sung by Coronado High School Madrigal Lauren Kelly.
Colonel Cameron Dadgar, outgoing commander of the Nevada Test and Training Range United States Air Force unit stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, will deliver the keynote speech.
