Henderson Police Investigated Traffic Collision Resulting in Delayed Fatality #2

Henderson, Nev. – (March 9, 2022) On February 11, 2022, at approximately 2:54 A.M., the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the 700 block of East Horizon Drive in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a bus incident.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2020 CAT/RTC bus was sitting stationary with its “Out of Service” signs illuminated.  As the “Out of Service” bus was driving off, a pedestrian attempted to get onto the bus, striking the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to Saint Rose Siena with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

On March 2, 2022, Henderson Police Fatal Investigators were advised that the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries. His name will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications. 

As this is still an open investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.

The collision is being investigated as the fourth accident-related fatality for 2022.
