Henderson Police Investigating Pedestrian Fatality

Henderson, Nev. – On February 14, 2022, at approximately 10:32 P.M., the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Boulder Highway and Broadbent Boulevard in reference to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation revealed a black Dodge Charger was traveling northbound Boulder Highway when a male pedestrian stepped into the path of the Charger.
 
The 59-year-old pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Trauma where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

Speed and impairment on behalf of the driver were not factors. Impairment of the pedestrian is not known.

Traffic on northbound Boulder Highway was closed at Galleria Drive for approximately 2 hours while the investigation was conducted.

As this is still an active and open investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.

The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications. 

The collision is being investigated as the first accident-related fatality for 2022.
