Post Date:12/06/2021
Henderson, Nev. – On December 5, 2021, at approximately 4:00 P.M., the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the intersection of Stephanie Street and Trail Canyon Road in reference to a collision involving a motorcycle and a Ford SUV.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the Ford was traveling northbound on Stephanie Street stopped at the red light at Trail Canyon Road.  As the Ford proceeded through the intersection with a steady green light, the motorcycle, also traveling northbound on Stephanie Street, collided with the rear of the Ford causing the driver of the motorcycle to be ejected from his seat.

Speed is considered a factor in this incident.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local area hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

Traffic in all directions of Stephanie Street and Trail Canyon Road was closed for approximately three hours while the fatal accident investigators conducted the investigation.

As this is still an open investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.

The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

The accident is being investigated as the ninth accident-related fatality for 2021.
