Henderson, Nev. – On December 2, 2021, at approximately 4:00 P.M., the City of
Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the intersection of West Warm
Springs Road and Eastgate Road in reference to a collision involving a semi-truck and a
minivan.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2021 Freightliner semi-truck with trailer was
traveling northbound on Eastgate through the intersection of Warm Springs Road.
A white unregistered Kia minivan was traveling eastbound on Warm Springs Road,
when it failed to stop for a steady red signal at that intersection, colliding into the semitruck. Speed is considered a factor in this incident.
The driver of the Kia was transported to a local area hospital where they succumbed to
their injuries.
Traffic in all directions of West Warm Springs Road and Eastgate was closed for
approximately four hours while the fatal accident investigators conducted the
investigation.
As this is still an open investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.
The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after
next of kin notifications.
The accident is being investigated as the seventh accident-related fatality for 2021.
