Henderson, Nev. – On June 28th, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments were called to a residence in the 90 block of Huntfield Drive in reference to a female caller stating her husband had just shot two people.

Responding officers located a 48-year-old female with an apparent gunshot wound to her face, and two additional 21-year-old males with apparent gunshot wounds to their torso.

All three victims were transported to Sunrise Hospital.  Both males were in stable condition and expected to survive.  The female victim succumbed to her injuries.

Preliminarily investigation revealed the caller’s husband, identified as 39-year-old Andre Andrews, had been involved in a physical altercation with her (a 37-year -old female).  Andrews then left the scene.  The wife contacted her friends for help.  Sometime after her friend’s arrival to the residence, Andrews returned to the residence and shot the arriving female friend in the face.  Two other male friends then became involved in a physical fight with Andrews, in an attempt to get the firearm from him, where they too were shot.

Andrews sustained head injuries during the struggle and was also transported to Sunrise Hospital where he remains.

Andrews was booked into the Henderson Detention Center in absentia on 1 count of Domestic Battery, 1 count of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon, and 2 Counts of Attempted Murder with a Deadly Weapon. His booking photo is not available.

The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.

As this is an open investigation, no further details will be released at this time.

This is being investigated as the seventh homicide for the City of Henderson for 2021.
