Henderson Police Conclude Joining Forces Enforcement Initiative Targeting Pedestrian Safety

Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department concluded its 12th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program targeting pedestrian safety.

During the enforcement initiative that ran from June 7th through June 21st, Police Officers stopped a combination of motorists and pedestrians totaling 309 stops.

Of the 309 stops completed, Traffic Officers issued 138 speeding citations, 48 pedestrian safety violation citations, 7 no insurance citations, 3 seatbelt citations, as well as citations for multiple other traffic violations. Additionally, 82 motorists were issued a warning, in lieu of a citation.

Henderson Police Department received $220,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2021 Joining Forces program.
