Post Date:05/14/2021

Henderson, NV – A key tool for planning for summer fun is now available. The City of Henderson’s activity and information guide, Henderson Happenings, can be viewed online at cityofhenderson.com.

Registration – online, by mail and in person – for most activities begins at 6:00 a.m. on

May 18. A household account, which can be created online, must be established before signing up for most classes, workshops and events that require registration. New accounts can take up to three days before they can be accessed.

Henderson Happenings is the complete listing for events, sports, arts, outdoor recreation, concerts, lessons, memberships, rentals, and more for all ages, as well as a valuable source for information on City services.

This issue features information on the City’s Open Data Portal and the opening of Water Street Plaza, Henderson’s premier entertainment destination.

Summer recreation programming begins in early June and continues through August.

Events of note in the summer guide include:

  • Henderson Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert, June 4
  • Juneteenth Jazz Legacy & Heritage Festival, June 11-12
  • Movie Marathon: Jurassic Park, June 18-19
  • Fourth of July Celebration, July 4

Face coverings and social distancing are required according to state/county guidelines when attending a City of Henderson event, activity or program. The schedule may change based on State of Nevada restrictions.

To remain fiscally responsible, flexible and responsive to the needs of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, the summer 2021 issue of Henderson Happenings will be available in  digital format only.
