Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department concluded its 10th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program.
During the enforcement initiative that ran from April 30th through May 10th, 2021, Henderson Police stopped a total of 422 motorists.
Of the 422 traffic stops, motorists were issued 287 speeding citations, 6 citations for distracted driving (such as cell phone use), 26 citations for registration and driver’s license violations, 6 citation for no insurance, as well as several other citations issued for other traffic related offenses. Additionally, 85 motorists were issued a warning, in lieu of a citation.
Henderson Police Department received $220,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2021 Joining Forces program.
