Henderson, Nev. – (April 15, 2024) The Henderson police officer involved in the April 13, 2024, officer-involved shooting, occurring in the 200 block of Callen Falls Avenue has been identified as Officer Taylor Young.

Officer Young has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since June 2017, and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

Officer Young has been placed on paid administrative leave, per department policy. 

This is the first officer-involved shooting for 2024.
