Henderson, Nev. – (March 27th, 2024) The City of Henderson Animal Care and Control would like to thank the Best Friends Animal Society and their life saving programs for offering to sponsor all dog and cat adoptions at the Henderson Animal Shelter starting Thursday, March 28th to Saturday, April 6th, 2024. 

Best Friends has recognized all the hard work that the shelter staff and volunteers have put into getting the dogs that were affected by canine influenza recovered and ready for adoption. 

With the shelter near capacity, Best Friends Animal Society and the City of Henderson want to ensure that every adoptable dog and cat find a loving home quickly.

You can view all our adoptable dogs and cats on our website or by visiting 24petconnect.com and selecting Henderson Animal Care and Control using the filter.

Our adoptable dogs and cats are ready to leave the shelter at the time of adoption. Dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines prior to adoption. There are no appointments necessary, all adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis. 

The animal shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm with adoptions closing at 4:30pm daily.
