WHAT: Twelve new firefighters from Henderson Fire Academy 54 will be sworn in on Thursday, Feb. 29. 

To prepare for a career as a Henderson firefighter, the graduating class endured 20 weeks of intense training that covered education in hazardous chemicals, emergency medical procedures, firefighting skills, and more.

"We are thrilled to welcome these 12 outstanding recruits to our department," said Henderson Fire Chief Shawn White. "This addition complements the growth of our department as we continue to serve this community with excellence and be a premier Fire Department.”

Once sworn in, graduates will move into full-time firefighting positions throughout the department’s 12 fire stations.
