Henderson, Nev. – (September 24, 2023) The Henderson police officers involved in the September 22, 2023, officer-involved shooting, occurring in the 1000 block of Center Street have been identified as Sergeant Anthony Sanchez-Martinez and Officer Sarena Ulibarri.

Sergeant Sanchez-Martinez has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since February 2015, and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

Officer Ulibarri has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since July 2021, and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

Sergeant Sanchez-Martinez and Officer Ulibarri have been placed on paid administrative leave, per department policy. 

This is the second officer-involved shooting for 2023.
