Henderson, Nev. - (September 23, 2023) On September 22nd, at approximately 6:57pm., the City of Henderson Police Department responded to the area of North Water Street and North Boulder Highway in reference to a battery incident involving a knife.

The person reporting advised a male had been stabbed while on the RTC bus.

Officers arrived on scene to discover an unresponsive male lying on the ground just outside the RTC bus.  Henderson Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene and determined the male was beyond life saving measures and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Henderson Detectives preliminary investigation revealed the incident to be the result of the decedent battering another adult male, and to protect himself, the male stabbed the decedent.

The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin. 

As this is an open investigation, no further details will be released at this time.

This is being investigated as the eighth homicide for the City of Henderson for 2023.
