The City of Henderson has a variety of dog parks where dogs can run free and socialize. We are in the process of planning several more permanent dog parks throughout the city.

The Acacia, Boulder Creek, Heritage Bark Park, Hidden Falls, and O’Callaghan dog parks will be closed for a limited time to conduct seasonal turf maintenance. Please visit Facility, Pool, Park & Trail Closures for more information.

We’re excited to announce that Henderson has again been recognized as a pet-friendly city by the Better Cities For Pets™ program from Mars Petcare. Certified since 2019, a key strength for Henderson is our number of dog parks and our pet-friendly events.

The Bark Park is the City of Henderson’s largest and most unique dog park. It was designed with input from pet owners and regular dog park users to ensure the design and amenities meet the needs of our community. The 5-acre Bark Park features separate dog runs, agility course, walking trail, dog bone-themed benches, and drinking stations for pets (and some for people too). The Bark Park hosts classes and programs, and can also accommodate small dog shows and events.

The Bark Park is also home to Barkules, a cute puppy mascot. This oversized play structure for children is six feet tall and 18 feet long, and loyally stands watch over the park.

A splash pad is also available at the Bark Park just for dogs (no humans).  Please note that all park rules apply.
