A complete list of pool rules may be obtained at the front desk of each pool. Please observe these rules. They are strictly enforced for your safety.

• Patrons must have a Participant ID badge to enter these facilities.
• Children under 8 years old must be supervised by a parent/guardian (at least 15 years old) in the water within arm's reach at all times. A ratio of one adult for every five children under age 8 is required.
• Take children on frequent restroom breaks, especially prior to participating in any aquatic program.
• For health and safety reasons, we request that patrons who are ill refrain from participating in aquatic activities, particularly if experiencing symptoms of diarrhea.
• Please rinse off or shower before entering the pool.
• No spitting on pool decks or in pool drains and gutters.
• Do not change children's diapers on the deck. Please use the changing tables provided in the restrooms and dispose of diapers properly.
• Children wishing to swim in water deeper than their standing depth must be able to demonstrate that they can tread water and swim across the pool safely.
• Swimmers unable to tread water and swim across the pool in a safe manner are encouraged to stay in shallow water and are not allowed on diving boards or slides.
• Only appropriate swimwear is allowed in the pool. No cutoffs, T-shirts, thongs, jean shorts, etc.
• During inclement weather or other circumstances, the pools may be closed. The City of Henderson is not responsible for these occurrences. No refunds or rain checks will be issued.
• Smoking and/or use of tobacco products, including but not limited to, tobacco-free chew, electronic cigarettes, or any other product of this nature is permitted only in areas so designated by posted signs or areas noted by staff. These areas are not located near or around youth patrons and are prohibited in facilities or aquatic environments.
• Glass, alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited.
• No running or horseplay in or about the facility.
• All floatation devices including lifejackets must be U.S Coast Guard approved.
• Private instruction and commercial programming without an approved agreement is prohibited. Parents may instruct their own children.
• Patrons are prohibited from any action that disrupts or obstructs a city event, program or activity. This includes behavior deemed to make others (participants or staff) feel uncomfortable.
• All lifeguard and management instructions must be followed. This includes any safety-related policies and/or procedures related to COVID-19.

• You must be 42’’ inches tall to use the diving board.
• Children under 8 years old must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
• Lifeguards will prohibit any actions considered to be unsafe.
• Only one person at a time on the diving board.
• You may bounce only one time before jumping off the diving board.
• Jump off the end of the diving board; no jumping off to the sides.
• Do not swim underneath the diving board.
• Patrons must exit the water immediately using the ladder.
• Catching or assisting someone off the diving board is not allowed.
• Lifejackets, goggles and fins are not allowed when using diving boards.
• Walking backwards or diving off backwards is not allowed, including backflips and gainers.
• Only staff is allowed to adjust the diving board fulcrum.
• Diving boards are open to the public upon availability.
• All lifeguard and management instructions must be followed.

• Children under 42’’ tall are not permitted on slide.
• Children under 48” tall are not permitted on the Wells Outdoor Swimming Pool slide.
• Children must be able to exit the slide and reach the wall unassisted.
• Catching or assisting someone off the slides is not allowed.
• Children under 8 years old must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
• Swimwear with exposed zippers buckles or metal ornamentation is not permitted.
• Slide must be ridden feet first, laying on your back or in a sitting position.
• Keep arms and legs inside the slide at all times.
• Do not run, dive, kneel, stand, rotate or stop in the slide.
• Eyeglasses must be secured to riders with head straps.
• Only one rider may enter the slide at a time.
• At the end of the slide, obey all lifeguard instructions and exit quickly.
• All lifeguard and management instructions must be followed.
• For safety reasons, pregnant women and people with heart conditions or back problems should not ride the slide.

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the spa.
• Extended exposure to hot water or vapors may be detrimental to the health of women who are or may be pregnant, elderly persons and persons with heart conditions, diabetes, or high or low blood pressure.
• For health and safety reasons, we request that patrons who are ill refrain from participating in aquatic activities, particularly if experiencing symptoms of diarrhea.
• No food or drink allowed in the spa.
• Only appropriate swimwear is allowed. No cutoffs, T-shirts, thongs, jean shorts, etc.
• Lifeguards will prohibit any actions considered to be unsafe.
• Maximum number of people allowed in spa is 14.

• Please follow all changing station recommendations, including use of safety strap.
• Parents must supervise children on the changing station at all times.
• Dispose of used disposable diapers in the diaper bucket or receptacle provided, or dump contents from reusable diapers into toilets and bag diapers to take home.
• Use the materials provided to clean/sanitize the surface of the changing station before and after each use.
• Wash your hands and your child’s hands after diapering.
• Do not swim if ill with diarrhea.

• All lifeguard instructions must be followed.
• Use AquaClimb at your own risk.
• You must be at least 42” tall to climb.
• Non-swimmers are prohibited from climbing; a test may be required to demonstrate swimming ability.
• Use of life jackets, flotation devices, goggles and other swim equipment is prohibited while climbing.
• Only one climber at a time.
• Climbers must enter from the water, not the pool deck.
• Children under 8 years old must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
• From the wall, only feet-first entry into the water is allowed. Flips, twists, head-first and backwards entries are prohibited.
• Each climber has one attempt. Once you fall, you must go to the end of the line.
• Swimming is not permitted in the “drop zone” area. Exit the water immediately using the ladder.
• Climbers may not hang from the glass board at the top of the wall.
• AquaClimb is closed during inclement weather, including extreme wind.

• Do not leave personal items unattended in the locker rooms at any time. The City of Henderson is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
• Lockers are for day use only. Personal locks must be removed daily.
• Duration of showers must be kept to a minimum. Shower faucets should be turned off after showering.
• During inclement weather closures, showering is prohibited.
• Slip-resistant shoes are recommended in the locker rooms, shower areas and on the pool deck.
• Family changing rooms are available.
• No running, horseplay or unsafe behavior is allowed.
• Moving locker room equipment, floor mats and furniture is prohibited.
• The use of photographic equipment including cameras, cell phones and video recorders is strictly prohibited.
• All facility staff instructions must be followed. This includes any safety-related policies and/or procedures. Please notify us of any concerns.
