PulsePoint is a smartphone app designed to support public safety agencies working to improve cardiac arrest survival rates through improved bystander performance and active citizenship. PulsePoint empowers everyday citizens to provide lifesaving assistance to victims of sudden cardiac arrest. You can download the app in either the Apple App Store or on Google Play by simply searching for “PulsePoint”. We believe PulsePoint will be a powerful tool in our efforts to increase survival rates in our community.

Once you have downloaded the app, go to “Agencies” and search for Henderson Fire. This will allow you to monitor calls for service in our city. The app will notify you when you are within ¼ of a mile from a critical cardiac event. It will provide you with the location of the patient as well as the closest AED. Early bystander CPR and AED utilization significantly increases the chance of patient survival. These interventions can help ensure our crews arrive to a viable patient when they get on scene.

We encourage our residents to obtain CPR and AED training and download the PulsePoint app. As a part of our “See – Say – Do Something” campaign, this is something you can “Do” in order to become a part of the solution and help save a life!
