This City of Henderson actively works to provide facilities, programs and services that allow all of our citizens to live, work and play. Departments work together with the ADA Coordinator to review city parks and facilities in the planning phase, to ensure accessibility once open to the public.

Additionally, older facilities are evaluated for compliance with the 2010 Standards for Accessible Design. Items not meeting the Standards are corrected promptly, where possible. Items requiring more resources to resolve are added to the appropriate appendix of the city's ADA Transition Plan, and given an estimated date to complete the work. Dedicated annual resources are used each fiscal year to correct items in order of highest priority.
