Together We Can: A Primer for Recovery

The City of Henderson’s Together We Can: A Primer for Recovery was named the National Resilience & Sustainability Award Winner for planning excellence in 2021 by the American Planning Association (APA). The Primer, which serves as the City’s Recovery Action Plan, was created to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health, economy and quality of life Henderson’s residents and businesses and help the community recover as quickly as possible.

American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA)

The American Rescue Plan was instituted by the federal government to change the course of the pandemic and deliver immediate and direct relief to families and workers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis through no fault of their own. The City of Henderson has received approximately $37 million in funding that must be spent by Dec. 31, 2024. Funding should support causes, issues, and groups who have been most impacted by the pandemic.
