Preschool
ABC ETC. (half day) and Little Learners (full day) are state-licensed preschool programs designed for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Both are based at Valley View Recreation Center. The program runs concurrently with the Clark County School District’s 9-month calendar and is closed on school holidays and staff development days.
Group activities and learning centers cover areas such as motor skills, music, singing, arts and crafts, and social interaction. To register any child in the program the age requirements listed below must be met (no exceptions). All participants must be toilet trained.
Qualifications
ABC ETC. preschoolers must be 3 years old no later than the first day of the month you would like them to attend class.
Little Learners preschoolers must be 3 years old by September 30 of the current school district year before they are permitted to enroll in/attend class.
State law requires the following documents to be furnished before the student is allowed to attend class:
- A health statement signed by a physician/RN
- An updated photocopy of an official immunization record
- A completed registration form
- A completed youth participation form
- A copy of the child's birth certificate may be required

Registration is accepted beginning July 5 at the Registration Fair. If you are unable to attend, mail-in or drop-off registration is accepted after July 5 until classes are full at Valley View Recreation Center

Preschool Registration Fair

Drop off completed registration packets and pay the annual registration charge of $10 per child (non-refundable and non-transferrable).
Preschool Coordinator Virtual Meet & Greet
Meet the Preschool Coordinator to have your questions answered about the ABC ETC. and LittleLearners preschool program. This meeting will consist of a presentation explaining the registration process and what to expect throughout the school year. Participants will need to register in order to receive the meeting link via email.

Open House
Successfully enrolled families are required to attend a drop-in parent/guardian/child open house orientation for the benefit of the child and to help reduce questions on the first day of class. During the open house, parents and children will be guided to their assigned classroom, meet preschool staff, take part in a brief classroom orientation, and participate in a question-and-answer session. Orientation is mandatory for first-time participants.

Early Childhood Education Scholarship Program
Scholarship assistance from the City of Henderson Redevelopment Agency Public Education Set Aside Fund is available to fund 50% of the preschool enrollment costs on a per student, per semester increment.
