HENDERSON, Nev. (Jan. 19, 2023) – In a business assessment survey commissioned by the City of Henderson in late 2022, 92% of respondents gave Henderson high ratings as a place to do business and 92% rate the City as business friendly.

Business owners and operators were most satisfied with the quality of life, image of the city and the quality of services provided by the City of Henderson. Henderson rated significantly higher than the southwest regional average in 15 of the 19 areas assessed in the survey and satisfaction with overall quality of City services was 13% above the southwest regional average. The southwest region includes California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Nevada.

“Henderson is a community of opportunity and the City is setting the standard for providing services that businesses need to help them flourish,” said Mayor Michelle Romero. “The perception that Henderson is an excellent place to do business has increased since our last survey in 2021, so we know we are on the right path for recruiting and retaining quality companies in Henderson that will contribute to our economic vitality.”

Areas that businesses expressed the highest satisfaction were in business assistance programs, quality of the local workforce, professionalism of City of Henderson employees, fire and police response, and infrastructure services like parks and recreation facilities and water and wastewater services.

The 2022 Business Survey was performed by ETC Institute, a national leader in market research specializing in local government organizations. More than 400 surveys were completed by a random sample of businesses located in Henderson, yielding statistically valid data that has a 95% level of confidence with a margin of error of +/-4.9%.
